I did a migration, following all of the instructions. All of the posts are in the database, and everything shows up in the backend.

However, on the front end there is nothing there (except the intro text for the guestbook). No posts, no form to post.

I have set the permissions and copied everything else from another site I upgraded, but I cannot figure out what I am missing here:

The problem is live on a testing site here: gone.

Yes, everything seems fine in the backend. I followed the instructions in that link.

My bad: the problem turned out to be here:
After checking my notes, I recalled that I had done some sort of customization in the past (Joomla 2.5, older template) which totally broke the display in the new version. I got rid of the file, and the guest book now displays.
