Okay I read the quick start guide and I made a new menu for photos, like it said and saved it. Now how do I get the menu to show up on my front page? I've used this before but don't remember how I did it.

Thanks,
pslane

Hi,
you must assign your Menu Module to a Module Position and set it to Public it in Module Manager.

Kind regards,
Benno

I'm having much trouble following those last directions. Don't know which position to place it in. I tried a few but all I got was a PHOTO heading with a long list of items I didn't want. Would a screen shot help? It sure is different than when I installed it with 1.5.

Thanks, Benno

Hi,
Would a screen shot help?
Yes, a screen shot would help but, if the site is online the URL would be much better.

Kind regards,
Benno

Here's where I am. I have images in my category and I can pull them up. So that part is understood.
But I have no access to this gallery on my front page.
When I try to assign the menu module, this is what I get if I'm doing it right. Sorry, no way to add attachment so I have to do it this way.

Hi,
there is already a horizontal menu at your site.
Use this menu to learn.
1.) Find this menu:
go to: Backend --> Menus --> Menu Manager (Find the menu with this entrys: Home, Template Features, DJ-Catolog2, RTL Languages)
2.) Create a New Menu Item to Phoca Gallery Component:
Click 'New' Button --> Menu Manager: New Menu Item --> Details --> Menu Item Type * --> Click 'Select' Button --> Choose Phoca Gallery --> List Of Categories (Categories View)
Create a Menu Titel (e.g. Photos)
Save & Close

Now you should find a new Menu item (e.g. Photos) in Frontend.
If you have already created a categorie and have loaded up images to this categorie, you should see this categorie & images in Frontend.

Kind regards,
Benno

I had already done that by reading the quick start help page. Please check my URL again and see if you can tell me what I've done to cause the front page to look like this. By trying to add a menu again before I forgot I'd already done it, I messed up my home page and don't know how to fix it. :x :x

Hi,
Please check my URL again and see if you can tell me what I've done to cause the front page to look like this.
Not easy to answer, because I don't know what you did...
By trying to add a menu again [...], I messed up my home page and don't know how to fix it.
Try Unpublish your from you created Menu Modul in Modul Manager and see what happens on Frontpage.
I had already done that by reading the quick start help page.
If you had followed my instructions, I should see the menu item Photos in the Top Menu of your page. But I do not see it there..
Once more:
1.) Find this menu:
go to: Backend --> Menus --> Menu Manager (Find the menu with this entrys: Home, Template Features, DJ-Catolog2, RTL Languages)
2.) Create a New Menu Item to Phoca Gallery Component:
Click 'New' Button --> Menu Manager: New Menu Item --> Details --> Menu Item Type * --> Click 'Select' Button --> Choose Phoca Gallery --> List Of Categories (Categories View)
Create a Menu Titel (e.g. Photos)
Save & Close
Kind regards,
Benno

I will do exactly what you said to do but first I want to straighten out my front page. This may be the problem (screenshot) Can you tell me what goes in the menu type box here? It's default so I can't unpublish it. In module menu, it doesn't seem to change anything when I unpublish. I'll post that one, too.

Thanks.

Hi,
in my case 'Menu Item Type *' = Single Article and the article is that one, that you see when you open my site. http://www.reisefotografien.eu So try out the Articles Section
