Hi,
I´m trying to build a download page where the download categories should be accessable to different user groups. I'm currently using Phoca download version 2.1.9.
For example Category A is only accessable to User Group ´Apple´ and Category B is only accessable to User Group ´Orange´.
Currently I can only select if a category is accessable for ´All registred users´, ´Nobody´, ´Super Users´ or per user account. But not for example ´All Apple users´ .
So my question is how can I make this possible?

Hi, just create groups and you can select one, some or every group for accessing the files - set them e.g. for phoca download categories - the groups - permissions groups should be created directly in Joomla!

That is actually the problem that I'm having. The user groups are created, but I cannot select one in 'Access Rights' in the edit category settings. I can only select 'All registred users', ´Nobody´, ´Super Users´ or per user account, but not the user groups that I have created in Joomla.

Just te be clear... Can you explain what the difference is between 'Access' and 'Access rights' in the edit Category page?

Hi, testing now, now problem.

One access field is for group and in second you can specify directly one specific user.

I've deleted all User groups and access levels and added them again and now it works.
The only thing I've changed tho in the my user groups settings is that the parent group of the custom group I have made must be public.

I'm using Phoca download extension and i've created 3 admin joomla account and 3 categories in phoca download, is possible to limit the access to the categories for each user (user A->access to category A, user B-> access to category B...)?

Hi, in every category you can say which group will have access to it.
