Hi, what you mean with "hide" categories? If you hide some category this does not mean, the subcategory is not published and accessible

Hi, this depends on how you see it, most of users see it as a):

a) hide categories - means, if you set ID of category, it will be hidden, all IDs you set, they will be hidden, if you want to hide category ID = 1, then you want to hide only category ID = 1, no its subcategories as they can be moved, etc.
b) hide categories - means hide category with set ID and its subcategories but what would do people of a) who wants to hide really and only the ID they have specified
