facebook login problem

Hello, I'm having difficulties getting the facebook part of this plugin to work.
-I've created a facebook app with herokuapp.
-the test page of the app is displayed succesfully
-inside the facebook user panel when clicking the facebook button I get the following error on facebook
API Error Code: 191
API Error Description: The specified URL is not owned by the application
Error Message: redirect_uri is not owned by the application.
Things I've checked..
- the domain name in the app setting panel is the same domain as in the site URL.
- the app has all permissions it needs
- googled the error, but none of the suggestions worked for me
What could be wrong here, I'm at a loss at the moment.
