Hi there,

I am building an image archive in which there are some main categories created by me. In these registered users can create subcategories and upload images. So far so good.
As these subcategories are event related it would be nice if other users could add images into those folders.
Is there a way to do so? I have now been trying for about a week but cannot find out how. hitting the wall so to speak.

By the way I have deactivated user control panel.

Hi Jan, thanks for the quick reply!

It works fine for categories I have setup, but I want users to be able to create subcategories for new events, which I might not be aware of, and still other users should be able to add.
right now I have to take ownership of their subcategory and set upload to all. Otherwise I get the error that the above category belongs to a different user.

Can I 'turn off' the checking which registered user is in the category and wants to upload, or give all registerd permissions?

Hi, I'm in need of this too. I have a client with multiple users that don't have access to the back-end. But I need them to be able to upload images to all subcategories that are created in front-end. How do I accomplish this?

I also need this feature, I mean, to allow selected User-Groups (even custom Groups) to upload/create/edit any category/subcategory even if they did not created those categories.
