Hi,

The thumbnails look really odd in my online album, as you can see:

I've tried to fiddle with the thumbnail settings, and different layout properties, but can't figure out where the problem is. Could some kind soul help me out?

Hi,
try following:
backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Phoca Gallery Control Panel --> Themes --> Background Image - Medium Thumbnail -->
Medium Image Width=200
Medium Image Height=136
Use the other values as you like
Press "Create Background Image" Button
