Hi,

Scenario:
Because big problems of broken download for my big files (between 60Mb and 160Mb) under 7-Zip *.7z format I am now hosting my files into my Amazon.com S3 Cloudfront service that allows downloads from the closest node to downloading user...
Now I decided to use your PHOCA DOWNLOAD component to manage my files over Joomla! 1.7.3 but your software brakes the long URL provided by Amazon.com S3 Cloudfront service that looks similar to this one:

Code: Select all

'http://subdomain.domain.com/testfile.7z?Policy=eyJTdGF0ZWxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxJEYXRlTGVzc1RoYW4iOnsiQVdTOkVwb2NoVGltZSI6MTMzMTc4MTUyM319fV19&Signature=L1tE6fMMVC6H3pFMDI3qUWr11uoRcFuJM7xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx83f-WtnLxCibk8Yz0cEVcOISkz18Z8LjERoePBCC6u6miDiRrhstpglb2-zPDD3ORRW9deWpaXh5VYUKZnE1e8RCBbjM7js0tPNlf8ez0ORY34GU_&Key-Pair-Id=APKxxxxxxxxxxxNURZPQ'
This long URL is not allowed inside PHOCA DOWNLOAD and then, I tried to short this links using the bitly.com service but, the bitly.com URL are not allowed to by PHOCA DOWNLOAD if not 'Direct link' is set to YES (I need to keep the Direct Link set to NO to have the system filtering the de download rights)

Then, Is there a way to make PHOCA DOWNLOAD to be able to extend and accept the long URL path as far as needed within PHOCA DOWNLOAD backen file config., to avoid should be broken after saving the 'File' configuration window?

Thanks in advance for attention and quick feedback,
Rgrds,

Hi, for now there is no such feature, if you set short link e.g. by bit.ly - the it will be normally redirected from bit.ly
