Front End Upload

Yep, I feel stupid, but I really can't figure out how to enable front end upload. I have set the dropdown "Enable user upload" to "Yes", and set the (relevant?) user permissions to yes. But, I don't even see any links to adding files. Should I enable some menu, or what to upload from the front end?

wonders mike

(And sorry for the double-post...originally I mistakenly posted in Documention)

Hi, did you create a menu link to user control panel in menu manager?

Hi Jan,

yes, now I feel really stupid :) ! More silly/stupid questions: I added the link, but I can't see any of my categories in the dropdown. I think I've added all the necessary permissions for the user group in question in the control panel...anything else I should fiddle with?

thx again, mike

Hi, they are not listed in case, the user has no right to upload there, Which version of Phoca Download you are using, in 2.0.1 the subfolders are not displayed because of tree but this is working in 2.1.0

I upgraded to 2.1.0. Now I also added myself to the user list having upload access to a category, and that category (naturally!) showed up in the drop down box.

But - is it really not possible to allow a User group or an Access level to upload? Adding and removing single users is quite cumbersome, using the built in User group/Access level-system feels so much easier....

Thx in advance.

Hi, this is planed, but first the basic feature must be finished, then the new feature can be rewritten to fit the new ACL in Joomla!

OK, thx for your support. And please note, I really appreciate the effort you've put into your products. It's easily one of the best product families I've seen for Joomla.
