Hi,
i think i have a similar problem. Its is not possible to rate files in ie6 and ie7. All other browsers work fine.
I am using version 2.0.0.
Could you please have a look at this issue? Thanks a lot!

It works the problem was a plugin wibiya toolbar

Unfortunatly, I still have this problem. I am not able to rate files in ie6 and ie7, all other browsers work fine. Is this a bug of the component? Does anyone else have this problem?

hi,
if someone wants to know, i solved the problem. Rating now works in ie6 and ie7 too.
Just go to administrator/components/com_phocadownload/helpers/phocadownloadrate.php and remove the comma at the end of line 282 and 301, so it should look like this:
new:
data: {"ratingId": id, "ratingVote": vote, "format":"json"}
old:
data: {"ratingId": id, "ratingVote": vote, "format":"json"},
Maybe Phoca team is reading this and maybe they may change this in next version.
