Problem uploading from back-end

Hi there Jan, first I want to say thank you for an excellent functioning and looking add-on for Joomla, it has made a lot of us very happy.

I think I *may* have found a bug, I'm not sure but I'll explain it and you can evaluate whether it is or not. I am using vers 1.3.7 on Joomla 1.5.

My issue is that when I try and upload a file from the "File" button of the "Filename - Play:" field it always results in a "This file type is not supported (or there are some restrictions on the server)." message. I am trying to upload an 82kb mp3 file (yes that's kb not Mb). In the settings tab under "Allowed File Types" I have an entry "{mp3=audio/mpeg}"

Now, the reason I suspect it may be a bug is because if, instead of using the "File" button of the "Filename - Play:" field, I use the "File" button of the "Filename:" field it uploads fine. So the way I'm getting around it is to upload the file from the "Filename:" field then not choose the uploaded file, back out then go into the "Filename - Play:" field > "File" button, choose the file and all is ok.

Incidentally, the reason I am jumping through these hoops is because I like the way your file uploader normalises my file names by removing non-ascii characters and other punctuation such as brackets () - so I don't have to go through my files and do that manually.

Thanks again for a great component!

Hi, confirmed, the upload in file - play take the rules from images, should take rules from all allowed files.

I will fix it for the next version.
