Hello,
I have just tried Phoca Download (2.0.0.1 alpha on Joomla 1.6 Beta 14). After I installed it, everything was fine - I created a link to the File Upload under User Menu etc.
Then I began translating the user interface into Bulgarian and occasionally refreshed the page to see new translations.
An hour later I once again uploaded the INI file to the server. After refresh I got "You are not authorized to do this action". I checked the Options from the Admin section but I hadn't changed anything. Nothing worked and I still had no access.
Then I decided to remove Phoca Download and reinstall it. I deleted all files and folders, deleted the rows from the DB tables where Phoca was mentioned and deleted the four Phoca tables. Then reinstalled. It said "successful" but there were several errors in red and the Phoca menu in Components could not be built. Repeated everything but still No Access and No Menu in Components.
Meanwhile, and what is most interesting (and annoying) is that I had also installed Phoca Download offline, on my wampserver, where I have a mirror version of the site - before installing it online - and there the problem did not occur.
Now I am stuck. Don't know what to do. Please help.
Cannot create Admin menu and other problems

Re: Cannot create Admin menu and other problems
Hi, I think, this is more Joomla! issue than Phoca issue.
Installing, managing, etc. of component is done by Joomla! itself, so if you install or uninstall the component, this is a Joomla! proccess.
Anyway - Phoca Download is still Alpha phase - it means, it is done for testing only (or to see how this can look, for testing there will be Beta)
The same with Joomla! itself - it still in Beta and in every new Beta something will be changed. E.g. if the Phoca Download Alpha was made for Beta 13, it is possible, there will be some problems in Beta 15 as things are changing between versions.
So maybe the best way is to remove the testing Joomla! 1.6 and reinstall it
