No, but if this is a solution, you can hide all other category(s) and show only the latest five.

Hello Jan,

I tried the mod_jkphoca module but it run in error. I'l notify the developer but meanwhile I developed such a module myself, based on the standard mod_latestnews. See 'www.zonnewereld.nl' for an example (sorry it is in Dutch). It isn't that hard. One thing puzzles me though: when opening a category view like:

'index.php?option=com_phocagallery&view=category&id=62'

it doesn't show pagination. If I append '&ItemID=115' like:

'index.php?option=com_phocagallery&view=category&id=62&ItemId=115'

pagination comes in. Why is that?

I found the ItemID=115 issue: it is a menu-itemid. I created it to have pagination while using the phocagallary plugin. The trick was this: create two menu-items of type phoca gallery categroy view, the second is the child of the first. Publish the child but unpublish the parent. This way you won't see all the categories but you can use the plugin and have pagination. The id of this child menu seems to be appended automatically by the plugin.
