- with help of ftp (total commander, filezilla, ...)
- with help of media manager
- with help of external Joomla! web file manager (e.g. extplorer)
- with help of external web file manager, etc.

Will a module or component be eventually made for deleting and renaming uploads from the front end?

Hi, I think not because of security reasons
