how to use tags

Hi

just setting up my first phoca gallery and am trying to find out the uses and possible limitations of tags. I can see in the back end there is a tags configuration tab. Here an administrator can assign tags, each tag can be allocated to one specific category. In many situations site admins would want to permit users to create tags "on the fly" as new images are uploaded but i cant see if this is possible or not. If not, it would seem a very useful feature. Specifically for my site i have a sub-set of my users (controlled by Joomla ACL) who i will permit to upload their own images and it would be sensible to let them tag the images as they create them - i dont have the time to do it for them

Hi, for now the tags can be set in admin, you can set a list of tags and if you create an image, you can assign such tags to this image.

Category link - this means, clicking on the tag, you can link to specific category.
