I'm trying to put the PhocaDownload links to files within my Category Descriptions. I can see this done on the Phoca site - on the Phoca Download Component page for example, but can't find the information on how to implement it.
I've looked through the forums, and read the documentation, but can only assume I've missed the instructions.
It's mentioned in this post, but can't figure out how to do it - please help!

I've tried using the phocadownload plugin also, but this seems to only work within articles...
Many Thanks,
John

Re: Displaying files in category descriptions
Hi, what you exactly mean with links in description. These are created by editor in description in administration. Depends on editor type how to paste links into description field.

Re: Displaying files in category descriptions
I can put a link to the file in the category description, but only as a straightforward link - it doesn't have the formatting of Phocadownload files (with "details" & "download" buttons).
What I really want to do is have a list of files where an index file is at the top of the page (with "details" & "download" buttons), and then following that weekly files are listed most recent first.
eg:-
Category Header
Index File
-------
Week 4 file
Week 3 file
Week 2 file
Week 1 file
Each week a new file is uploaded to the category, and I want the most current weekly file to be at the top of the page, under the index file.
I thought this could be done by putting the index file in the category description - hence it would be at the top of the page (with the "details" & "download" buttons), and I could then list the rest of the files "Ordering Descending".
Another option is listing the files "Date descending", & giving the "Index File" a date far in the future so it will always appear on top (but then it will always be flagged as "new").
Any help/suggestions much appreciated.
Thanks,
John
