Hi see demo, there SEO is running:

- core SEO (standard SEF is enabled)
- mod rewrite (standard Mod Rewrite is enabled and standard Joomla! .htaccess file is used)

Hi Jan,
I am using standard Joomla SEO Settings, SEF url's "yes", apache mod_rewrite "yes" and .htaccess file is used. Like I said, the url re_write works good everywhere else on my site except for the gallery. When you go to my main menu and hit "gallery" I get a page that says 404-component not found.
Thanks for your help!

Re: When enabeling SEO from joomla phoca gallery - FIXED

gcoulter wrote:Hi, this has been frustrating me too, however I think I've now resolved it.

You need to create a menu item pointing to the phoca component, though you won't need to use it. I created one in my top menu which is published but not displayed.

Up until then I had two sites one with SEO turned on and one without, same server, joomla, php version etc. The SEO site kept giving me a 404 error until I created a menu item. (Another component I use works like this too).

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Graham
Thanks for posting this solution. I just encountered the same problem on a Joomla 1.5 site and it was driving me crazy. As soon as I added a link to the gallery in a hidden menu, it all started working.
