I have been scrapbooking for about three years now and I have always done my journaling on the computer. I have heard that it is best to hand journal especially when you are going to hand down your scrapbook to your family, however I find it hard to stay in a straight line at times. What do you scrapbookers think, hand or computer. Any ideas.
I usually hand journal on my pages...sometimes I use a stamp or a journal spot marked lightly with pencil. If I am doing something like song lyrics...then I would use my computer! BTW...welcome to the board!!

I do a little bit of both, I love the "clean" look of computer journaling but there is something special about a layout with your own handwriting.
let yourself go on a layout or two and hand journaling even if you can't keep a straight line. Sometimes some natural scrawling is more special than a pretty font.
I used to use fonts all the time, but now I almost always hand journal......It's easier!
My mom was always harping on me about this too. I got my revenge though. Now I digi scrap!! LOL!!
On a molecular level, I'm very busy.
Definitely hand. Takes me too long to type it up. I used to be self-conscious about hand journaling, but then I got over it. I do find it's more personal that way and that I can just write and let it flow that way. If you're concerned about writing straight though, you can use journaling stamps that have lines, or you can even journal around photos, on a "natural" line. Here are some cool stamps that could help: Dianna
For me, it depends on lots of factors. If I don't have much to say - I write it. If I have lots and small spaces - I computer. If I want colored journaling and don't have that color pen, I computer it.If I'm lazy, I hand write it :)I tend to do more computer journaling at the place I crop at - probably because the computer is right there and there is NO internet!Jenna
Computer. I think that when I hand journal, it looks messy!

I've done both, depends on the type of layout. Right now my printer is not hooked up so I've been doing hand journaling. I hate journaling but seem to do better when I use the computer.

I have an everyday religion that works for me. Love yourself first, and everything else falls into line.

I do both as well but I hate my handwriting so it takes some self-convincing to do it!
I'm a computer journalist. I am, however, trying to incorporate more of my own ugly writing in my books for my kids and blah, blah, blah...
I do both. I'm really enjoying journaling along a line in the design of my paper lately. But when I have a lot to say, or when I make a hidden journaling tag, it's usually on the computer.
I do both - depends on my mood, how much I have to write, and how I want to get it on there. I'm more likely to write if I'm using some kind of journaling block/tag/sticker/stamp, or if my paper has horizontal lines to keep me straight.
Do what ever feels right for you!!Of course, if you hand journal, then there are lots of your handwritting samples just in case something bad happens and forensic handwritting analysists need to be called in!! Have I been watching too much CSI and Forensic Files???!!!
I do both. It depends on my mood, where the journaling will be, and what kind of layout it is. Welcome!
I can't stand my handwriting so I usually do my journaling (if I journal) on the computer, but I do mix it up sometimes.
