What a Fabulous Challenge!! I Love travel and the Amazing Race TV show for that reason and my family has a LOT of travel stories!!
yay!! Exciting!!
Here is my submission. Our first trip to NOLA in 2004. The photo is from one of those tourist photo booths. The inspiration for this layout is in the photo. Some of the historic/iconic things that makes NOLA what it is known for.

I love the textured paper with the fleur de lis! And all of the details - the carriage in the corner, the street post with Bourbon Street! Thanks for playing along with my challenge this month!

Here is my submission:
my oldest grandson lives in a town right outside of NOLA. He was in kindergarten this year. In Feb they had a valentine/mardi gras party. This was a dance that they practiced and did at the party. I did the twist as you see
the fleur de lis border punch. you can see it also embosses but only shows up on the gold foil as it is a thinner
paper and that punch doesn't like thicker paper (OMGoodness! ) The paper is from seriously like 2004 ish... old
Debbie Mum and had New Orleans on it ! Win win!!! Thanks for the challenge!

here's my first entry i was inspired by NOLA's rich history (page about my ancestors) and also the city seal, which is round (i have a circle) and features a male and female figure and also gold stars (splatters in my case). also there's an icon similar to a fleur de lis on the paper combined with sketch 379

Inspiration from the Mississippi River Boat Cruise we did in New Orleans.
Right bottom and side border has a fleur de lis as well as one in the lower left flower cluster.

Here's mine - they had a Baby Shower with a Mardi Gras theme for my DIL. The bonus Fleur de Leis is center of the layout.
I got my color inspiration from this Mardi Gras paper

This is gorgeous! I love the muted tones you use and the delicate embellishments - the doily, punched border and sequins. I think the icon is close enough to the fleur de lis to count on this one!
Thanks for playing along with my challenge!

I love how everything ties in to New Orleans on this layout! The music stencil, the specific New Orleans elements, the Leah's Pralines card... and the punched border on the paper behind the tag reminds me of the wrought iron that's on the balcony of the building in the picture!
Thanks for playing along with my challenge for this month!

Here is my 3rd layout. Inspiration is from a professional photo taken at Pat O'Brien's Restaurant and Bar in Nov. 2004. Combined with the June Pick a Day Challenge.
This was such a fun challenge. I am so happy I got these photos scrapped. Thank you for hosting. Looking forward to next month's destination.

This is beautiful! I love the special embellishments like the die cut lamp post, the word die cuts - especially the Who Dat? and the fleur de lis! I'm hoping while we are in New Orleans we can take a river boat cruise as well!
Thanks for creating for my challenge this month!

Oh my goodness! What a perfect baby shower theme! I love it! I love the fun alligator and the colors - also how you included the thank you card!
Thanks for accepting my challenge this month and playing along!
