Now that NSD is over I am finally getting this challenge up. One of the challenges that I did was Flasher Laura's Decade Ad Inspiration Challenge. I chose a magazine ad from the decade I was born and used it for inspiration, and I thought it would be fun to see how everyone else would get inspiration from it. So I am posting that ad here and your challenge is for YOU to find inspiration in this ad in any way. Design, colors, text treatment, theme… anything that inspires you. That's it.




Open to paper, digi, cards, planners, crafts, or whatever this inspires you to create. 

Multiple submissions are allowed up to a limit of 3.

You may combine with one other challenge that allows combining, and you may add to the Motivation Challenge if there is one.

Post your submission to this thread by June 30th and a random winner of all participants will receive a $5 ACOT GC from me!

Love this challenge!!  I especially LOVE your page!  The look on the faces of you the two of them in the photo are hilarious, and the title that was a take on the song lyrics, so clever!  I can’t believe it’s almost June!!  Eeek!

Here is mine, I was inspired by the color pink and the title which on the ad says Bright N Clear, I meant to put a N but I wasn't thinking and put an & sign instead.

I liked the idea of having my photo in the top portion of my LO. I liked the color blue, and I liked that this ad seemed to have a lot of words.

Love this ad inspired challenge.  Great colors and details to inspire. 

I love your LO, Barb.  Our grandkis love Uncrustables too and they are readily available here.  They were difficult to find during the Pandemic and were a true find at the grocery store.  Our kids like the grape filled ones.

I was inspired by the stones and texture in her earrings, so I used these peach bumpy jewels for decoration and teh gold metal from the lipstick case is in my twine.

I was inspired by the white background and the the top of the ad kind of made me think of torn pattern paper. And the bottom of the ad - instead of a phrase, I stamped doggies.

Here’s one I did! I was inspired by Eyes Closed, Salmon-y Pink, Triangles for Pointy Lipstick, White Background

I used the lettering on the add as inspiration for the journaling on my layout.

Here is another one I did. This one my inspiration was the pink and white colors and the way the font kind of wrapped over the lipstick, so I did a the poem :What are little girls made of: and wrapped it around the layout. Also her earrings are sparkly and the sequins are sparkly too.

I found inspiration from the white background. The flower standing straight up reminded me of the lipstick standing up. The color of the flower reminded me of the lipstick holder color. Combined with June Mini Layout challenge. I used colored pencil to color the tulip.

Inspired by the royal blue color on her blouse, and the word "bright" because of the bright layout I did...combined with BF 329
