Re: Collections
I don't think I have ever purchased an entire collection. I may have come close a few times with Bo Bunny in the past, but usually I just get what appeals to me at the time, mostly papers, with occasional complimenting packs. Though, I have to admit, the Cocoa Vanilla package I won from NSD has some really neat things...Hmmm, I may have to give this more thought, lol.

Re: Collections
For me it depends! I used to buy it all but now I only buy everything in the travel collections minus metal  die sets. I do sometimes get the stamps but I’ve got a lot of travel stamps to use. I’ve got so much stuff and i am finding with AC collections they are starting to all look the same to me.

Re: Collections
I have been doing a LOT more collections in the last couple years.  It makes it easier and faster for me to scrap, I am not that talented to mix and match as some people do.  I try!  I still dabble with individual papers if I like them enough.

Re: Collections
I do not order entire collections because I like to mix and match and I get bored if I use too much of the same thing.

That said, I highly encourage the Rainbow Sherbet collection! It's just so gorgeous and versatile!

Re: Collections
I go back and forth. I buy some collection kits - though not always all the extras (chipboard, puffy stickers, stencils). Recently it was Carta Bella Flora 5.  I think the only ones I have every bought most everything of was Simple Stories Great Escape and Howdy. I buy 49 & Market collections but skip the ephemera (made in China) since the collection has some with it and get the rub-ons (Made in Taiwan). The Sherbet collection is beautiful! I have been trying to stay away from items made in China though there are some things that I just have to have.

I look at the collections and see how many papers I think I will actually use and if the sticker sheet works and then I compare prices. I do buy single sheets - mostly wood grain from different collections and some others that I like the colors of and think I will use.

The Rainbow Sherbet collect IS DEFINITELY amazing! I got the 6x8 and some embellishments but THE WHOLE COLLECTION?! It is DEFINITELY something I may just to get!!! AT LEAST, ALL the papers!!! I LOVE the versatility of the collection - the colors are fantastic and embellishments I got can LITERALLY go with ANYTHING!

I TOTALLY LOVE the wood grains, too! I've found myself buying more of them this year than I usually do. Seems like they go with EVERYTHING!
I ALSO try to get stuff that goes with things that I already have but since I have so much... Lol

Lol I JUST started getting collections recently this past year - it does help me scrap faster sometimes... I don't even want to talk about how many individual papers I have though LOL so, so many!

Re: Collections
I love hearing how everyone does what they do lol I try to pick up what's going on be versitile- when I first started scrapping I would get kits and themed items and would end up with a lot of leftovers - some things I passed on to others, but there's a few things, travel themed, for example, that I still use. When I get embellishments for example I like basic shapes and colors that can be used for a variety of projects. Of course, when it comes to crafting, if I can make it work, it works! ;-)

Re: Collections
I am mostly a bits and pieces type of scrapper.  Mainly because I have a shopping/hoarding problem!  LOL  I buy so much, but most of it is on sale.  I do love the Sherbet collection and may bite the bullet to buy it, but I don't scrap with whole collections very often, because it's not how I store my stuff and I love to mix and match. :)

I usually buy bits and pieces. However, back in day, I used to buy up entire Basic Grey collections because...well...BASIC GREY.

I do tend to buy most of a collection for dog and cat since I've got 3 and 1 (respectively). And I do tend to buy up most of a collection for Boys or Baby Boys since I've got 3 nephews and they are under the age of 4, with the youngest only a year old.
Yes, I did that, too!  I have hoarded most of them, though, so I really need to get using them!

Re: Collections
I generally buy whole collections, too.  I find when I just buy a page here or there, I forget I have it and don't use it.  With collections, I pull the whole sleeve out and see what I can use.  Plus it is easier to blend collections for some manufacturers, too.
Like you, I always have a cart full of stuff.  Then, when it comes time to buy, I will move some to the saved cart or wish list since I don't have $350 to spend each month!!!  I find when I let things sit for a week or two, it is easier to delete or move stuff.  But if I see something I really like, I just get it!  I wish we could have two order carts running at the same time!!
I am running away from my responsibilities,
and it feels good!
