Gary is fighting for his life.
This is so hard to put into words, but we need a lot of prayers for him.Many of you have already been praying for Gary. We than...k each and everyone of you. Prayer, family, friends, and our faith, have helped us get this far.I haven't posted on Facebook about what Gary has been going through. This started in November. He has been having some health problems causing him to pass out and fall. This was all diagnosed to blood pressure and maybe a light stroke. He was hospitalized January 5th and released to a Nursing home on the 14th for rehabilitation. After twelve days he showed no improvement, so with help from our kids, and his brother, Bill, we took him home. He was home over the week-end and was so sick by Monday I had to call 911 and take him back to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
After five days of slipping away with no answers, one amazing doctor diagnosed him with a rare form of fungus in his bloodstream, and a form of yeast in his blood identified as a noncontagious Meningitis.
Only one other person has been treated here for this kind of Meningitis, and that has been several years ago.Right now he is not responding, very confused, and in a lot of pain. He has oxygen, a feeding tube, several IV's, a central line, and two holes drilled in his head with a pump to relieve the pressure in his brain. He is very critical and is in isolation in ccicu unit. No visitors allowed. At this time We have placed him into God's hands and are holding on to our faith.We are asking for you to lift him up in your prayers and to add him to your prayer chain. We know God does answer prayer.
His family thanks you for your love, thoughts, and prayers.

Sherry - when I was praying this morning for Gary, I also prayed that you would give us an update. I haven't stopped praying since you first asked for prayers. I will continue to pray.
