Re: dies
I have not found a die yet that does not work in my Big Kick. (unless it is oversize)  You just need to use the right plates.

Re: dies
my Sizzix is the original and I don't think that even works with the other Sizzix machines without some plates or whatnot Image  and there are not many dies being made for my machine anymore (just a few here and there but nothing I want enough to justify the cost)

Re: dies
The dies will work fine. I keep several different thicknesses of cardboard from packaging and use them to add thickness to the dies to fit my machine. First try to use the die with your regular plates.  If the does not work, add the thickest plate for your machine.  On my Cuttlebug it is the white plate.  Then I put down the clear plate for cutting dies,  Now, add the cardboard shim. I cut them the same size as the plates.  Next, put down the paper you want to use. Then your die. Now, add the top clear plate and cut as usual.  This is trial and error until you find the right thickness of cardboard.  This can change depending on the thickness of paper you use too.  Hope this helps.
