) and the phone rang as I was coming in. It was this "gruffy" guy - and he started on some speal - I didn't know what or where he was going with it. My first guess was the "police benevolent league" - and I always ask what township/city he's from and where to send a check for obvious reasons (and I DO send out checks if they are local). Well he got on to "Midget football." I was "What????" and then he says "You bought a raffle ticket a few months back, and you won." I said "That's wondeful, thanks for calling. What did I win?" (I didn't want to admit it, but "little kids' football and not even remembering the ticket. . . ") I WON FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS! I was their grand prize winner. Boy, that turned my mood around mighty fast.
Christmas is now PAID FOR - with some $$ left over for scrapping, i.e., the money I had saved for Christmas so far! WOO HOO!!!
