Good Morning. I hope you have a splendid day. Here I have a lot of jobs I should be doing today.  When we moved here 2 years ago I was going to get into my scrapping again and  here I am trying to but I need to still get  stuff organized. My I store all my scrappy stuff in the walk in closet.  I have drawers in there but need more. So I get to start going through scrappy stuff.  I have to go into the kitchen table to actually scarp not enough room in the extra bedroom has an L shape desk. Twin Bed , cedar chest, and filing cabinet.  And Boxes of scrappy stuff.   So that si what I am up to.

It's raining here, and I'm muddling through invoices to get finished up and mailed out!  But I just want to check things out here first, lol!

good morning!  grey this early morning but it is supposed to burn off and be in the low 80's
today is dh's last day at his job...13 yrs.....crazy.....he is vacationing out..he had 104 hrs to use up..LOL  we leave for vacation on Saturday morning.....almost ready for that 
have a few appt's for kiddos today and I have a hair appt.  day will be over before I know it

What does he not do anymore?  Vacation sounds lovely.  I love getting my hair done. 


aahhhhhhh you might have missed all the hubbub during the board drama...LOL  he has taken a job in texas.....he starts in August.  he is going down before the rest of us do...because this job was too good to turn down!  he is a journeyman pipefitter/welder.....

[Scrap Bug]

Good morning!  I'm finally off work.  I had to go in 15 min. early, which normally isn't anything, but when you work as early as I do, it's a big deal.  I'm tired and think I'll take a small nap.  

Highs and lows today.  A friend whose son is my daughter's closest friend here, and he is also dh's co-worker is in the hospital touch and go.  He had a minor in and out surgery last week that turned into complications.  He has been hospitalized twice this week, yesterday went in again and flatlined last night and was resuscitated and has undergone several blood transfusions. I don't know the whole story, his wife is only sharing bits and pieces, but I don't think they even know exactly what is wrong.  I will keep on praying.  His wife lost her sister a few years ago in a similar situation, so I can imagine she is reliving the nightmare all over again.  My dd isn't up yet and I haven't told her the update.  

For the high - I found out that I am getting a 5% pay increase effective June 15 - so with this upcoming paycheck.  It has been over 3 years since we have been on a Federal pay freeze.  What a blessing!  

Last night we had a freak storm come through, right before we were leaving for the baseball game.  At my house it was just about a 10 minute downpour, but apparently a tornado came through and did some damage in other areas. I had no idea until I went to work today and my co-workers were talking about it.  Those of us who live on a different side of town didn't experience all the wind and uproar.  I guess a car dealership had windows busted out of their cars, light poles came down and lots of debris.  They even closed both sides of the freeway down due to the debris.

Good morning all! Been a little busy here with dropping Lady Lou off at the vet at 8:30 and staring the laundry, with housework later. Top it all off with some (easy peasy) work-related emails. Can't believe its almost lunch time!

Lady Lou will be ready for pick up between 3 & 5pm. They will send her home with some pain meds and after the cleaning, but before she wakes up, a shot of antibiotics to help her. Because of her small frame, they are gonna increase her fluids.

Also, we got another tip! To up her calories, mix Puppy Food with her Senior Food! So I stopped at the store and picked up some Lamb/Rice and Chicken cans (2 each) from Pedigree.

I'll keep you all updated.

morning.  Another very warm dry day here.  Supposed to be 94 today again.  Not bad if we get a little breeze early evening so the temps drop down into upper 50's at night.  Summer in Central California is always very very warm.  lol  
Nothing on my agenda today.  I could (should) vacuum the living room but who knows.  I do need to go buy some milk and probably will but that is about the must do's for me.  lol  I just copied and printed the July challenges and I do think I see some well spent time at my scrappy table this next few days.

Good morning, Bibi, and yes, while I have someone with Brandon, I'm headed to see you this morning. Natalie is with me if you don't mind. Looks like it's going to be a hot one today. Nat watered my flowers and she and I cooked scrambled eggs together. She's not used to cooking so it was fun to show her how and work with her. I have a pic of course!

Wondering what we are doing for the fourth. I love the fireworks but B's van is in the shop still. We can see a few from the house but not really well and not nearly so exciting. Maybe the grands will come over with a few of their own. Brandon would like that at least.

Good Morning - it is a beautiful 62 degree morning with a little over cast. I just got home last night from my business trip to Hartford CT. It is sure good to be home, but I had an awesome time meeting Lori aka croppinmama. I really have missed being on the board here. So now I am trying to place catch up. No other plans for today except to get ready to leave tomorrow for a great weekend at my Bestie's house

I was so glad you got to go.  And I was jealous, too.  Lucky you!

It is just under 70 this morning-- super cool for us this time of year. Already walked the pups.... just doing some catch up on the board. I have been super busy at work and not really able to get on all week. I am off the rest of the week. So after checking in here, I want to eat something and then hopefully SCRAP! I say to heck with vacuuming and doing the dishes! HA!

Busy at work is good.  But, when I was working, I had time to scrap and didn't much.  Bad Bibi.

Good morning!  Finally, the heat and humidity are out of here . . . a little cloudy and a very comfortable 67 degrees here!!!  I plan on spending a good part of the day cutting newspaper into strips to get started on a piñata for my daughter's party.  Other than that, I've got nothing going on and nothing planned.  I like it that way!!

You are making a piñata?  Isn't it a lot of work just to have beat up?  Enjoy!

Yesterday was freezing here for Missouri in July the high was only 70! Today is supposed to be cool too! So unusual for us this time of year! Usually we are dying in the heat at 4th of July BBQ's!

Blessed be the day.  At least it is comfortable and light.  It gets really hot here, too.

Well, Kimber, join the club.  I have a scrap area that is stacked so high and can't see the table, so I go into the dining room now.   I still have to clean up the two rooms upstairs of scrap stuff, too.  lol  Too much stuff, but I love it.

Great!  Good job.  Yes, I missed all that.  Sorry.  But I think it is wonderful that he is getting a new job.  Is it anywhere near Odessa?  I here there are lots of good jobs there, but no housing.

It's a hot and humid day here with lots of rain coming our way later. I am working until 2 and then need to stop at the grocery store. I am in a Christmas in July card challenge and would like to get a few cards made for that. I was hoping to drive to the LSS but will wait until the weekend when its nicer out.


 

Do you think you will get any Hurricane A?  Have fun making cards,  I have a few to make, too. 



 

Thankfully the hurricane is not expected to make landfall here!  We are still cleaning up our yard from Irene & Sandy that hit a few years ago.
