Created a layout about Easter or Valentines Day.
With all the awesome challenges and opportunities to create this month....I was curious as to what ideas or themes you have NOT created. So what have you not done before at this stage in your craft?
I have not done a page per-se about Valentine's, but I did make a page once where I scrapped Olivia's first hand-made Valentine to me. Nothing else on the page.
I have yet to do a Halloween page.
No St patrick's days either, but then we don't really celebrate that one.
OH wait, I don't think I've done Thanksgiving yet either.

For some reason, I don't do many Holiday LOs. A couple for Christmas but that is it. Hmmmm. I think some are overdue.

I can't think right now of a theme I haven't done. I was going to say our wedding anniversary, but I did one once. Hmmm, I've never scrapped about my car . . .

I'm much the same. Holidays to me are a time I don't really haul out the camera. I take a few pics, but I'd rather be IN the day, rather than behind the camera lens. I have done Christmas, and Thanksgiving, I've done Easter and 4th of July, but I've never done Valentine's Day. I've also never really done New Year's Eve, although I do have a picture from a celebration at work that I'd like to use (sparkling apple juice poured into the water cups we use when we give meds... real fancy New Year's Eve! lol).1grandma wrote:For some reason, I don't do many Holiday LOs. I've done that! I had needed a new battery and was not wanting to pay for it when it was stolen and wrecked. I titled it "battery no longer required" lol.average_kim wrote:I can't think right now of a theme I haven't done. I was going to say our wedding anniversary, but I did one once. I've also never scrapped about going to the cellar(lol, watching the weather right now!) The other day on FB, a lady said "We are going to have a pretty good collection of cellar pictures by the end of Spring . . ." and I had to reply that I've never taken a photo in our cellar. And I call myself a scrapbooker!!??

I don't call mine a cellar, it's a basement. But I do have pictures of the bar DH built in it and plan to scrap those! So I guess I'll be scrapping my cellar lol.average_kim wrote:I've also never scrapped about going to the cellar(lol, watching the weather right now!) I have never done Valentines either, or St Patrick's Day. I admit I have the paper for it if I ever do!

I've done I think two Christmas layouts but as for other holidays, I don't think I've ever scrapped about them. There are some Halloween layouts I'll get around to but haven't done any yet (and I keep buying cute Halloween paper anyway, lol).
I've also never scrapped about myself. Hopefully that will change with the Book of Me challenges starting up!

Theme wise - I think I'd have to dip into Chinese New Year's or something like that to say I didn't scrapbook about it. I do a lot of holidays, because that's the time my entire family is together - from East Coast to West Coast - so yes, I do a lot of that.
I tend not to scrapbook sad times. I know they are a part of our lives, but I sincerely don't think we need to remember them for the most part. I did take a photo of my niece's rose - she carried it from her little garden she had in California, wrapped in a wet paper towel - all the way in to PA to put on my Dad's Bible at his funeral. So that's the closest I've come to taking photos of funerals. Graves are a different story - I am what my sister calls a "Grave hopper" - I'll go to all our deceased family members - my sister, parents, aunts and uncles, grandparents - and put flowers on the graves, then take photos of them to send to my brother who also cares that they are taken care of and in good shape (The cemeteries - three of them - are where my family grew up - about a 90 minute drive away from my home, and in different towns)

Thanks Sher.
I have never scrapped Chinese New Year.
I was hard pressed to come up with something I haven't scrapped until I read Sher's post.

I believe I have scrapped at least one LO of all holidays, but I am not certain. I would probably say that I have not scrapped Memorial Day or Labor Day.
Mildred - Mom to 2 girls and a husband (I tell people that I am a single mom of 3. Ages 59, 37 and 31) lol. And a proud Grandma to Orahn (7) Sawyer (5) and Mazie (3).
I rarely do holidays either, never done Thanksgiving - or Easter, Or Canada day... I don't even think I have any pix at all!
Have done lots of Halloween tho, that is my hubby and my anniversary and we usually have a party or go out.
umm can I ask why scrapping about a cellar would be considered a holiday theme ??

I have scrapped every holiday I believe, well, not Chinese New Year as Sher mentioned. But all the other ones, I've done.
I've completed about 55 albums, I don't think there is much that I haven't scrapped.
I do scrap the sad stuff, passings, etc. I scrapped about my DS's Autism diagnosis. I find it therapeutic.
Hmmm, somebody stump me, what haven't I scrapped about???
I have never scrapped a page from a destination out of the country - cause I've never been.

I didn't mean for people to discuss only holidays, but that's the way they went with it. My question related to EVENTS or IDEAS, I never said holidayssweetsour wrote:I rarely do holidays either, never done Thanksgiving - or Easter, Or Canada day... I don't even think I have any pix at all!

It's all good! I was just surprised everyone followed my leadsweetsour wrote:oops I misunderstood Most ppl did respond about holidays tho! lol
well believe it or not, the only holiday I've scrapped is .... Chinese New Year! (I kid you not). I'll have to post a pic of the layout. I have tons of Christmas papers and embellishments, and lots of holiday photos, but I'm just never inspired to use them!
Edited - I stand corrected, I have also done a Canada Day layout.
