Well, anyone that's been on this board for awhile, will remember my cat Merlin. I've done tons of pages about him. He's been living at my parents with the other cats, Sebastion and Pookie, cuz when I brought him to my new house he wouldn't eat or go to the bathroom, so I left him with my parents where he was comfortable and happy. Well, yesterday, at 13 years old, we had to put Merlin down. He went into liver and kidney failure. So since i found out yesterday, I have been crying constantly. Its hard to think that I won't see him again, no more hugs, no more games, no cuddles. Pets really do become a part of your family, and your heart. So i could definitely use some hugs today and some well wishes for poor Sebastion and Pookie who will probably wonder where Merlin has gone.

Sorry you lost Merlin. Pet loss is never easy. I lost Mattie 2 years ago and still miss her. It does get less painful, it takes time, unfortunately.

Awww Sarah I am SO sorry for your loss! I know I would be a mess too if I lost my merlin (my male golden retreiver) !
Yes pets are part of the family I totally agree, in fact I like mine more than some of my family. Sorry not to be mean but it is true! Hang in there kid! I wish I could take away the hurt!

Oh Jen I'm so sorry!! I have loved your pages about Merlin. We are facing that very, very soon with Oliver (who's 14 - like Merlin, that's too young!) - he has a huuuge tumor and is uncomfortable and has lost a lot of weight - poor baby can't jump up on the counter anymore and if we put his food on the floor, 'sister' steals it! So he can only eat when we're here... we're surprised he's lasted this long but don't expect more than another week or so. I've cried on & off over the past several months just anticipating it! I know I'll be a wreck when it actually happens. So I'll definitely think of you & pray for your comfort as I deal w/this myself! {{HUGS}}

Oh Jenn, I am so sorry to hear this. My heart is breaking just hearing about Merlin. Losing a pet is gotta be one of the hardest us humans can go thru. Merlin is a beautiful cat and I'm sure he's running around on Rainbow Bridge with Barb's Cider and my kitty Princess and my doggie Butterscotch and all the other cherry furbabies. Many ((HUGS))
