Yes. Everything (except the HUGE dies) works in the Big Shot.

Provo Craft makes both the Cricut (which cuts on mats and is electronic), and the Cuttlebug, which works using a crank, plates, and die plates. The Cricut lets you change the size of your cuts, the Cuttlebug does not.

Yes, you can use your Cuttlebug dies in the Big Shot. I believe that if you check on either the website for Sizzix or CB, you might find forums where they will tell you what size sheets to use for the different dies. I think I also saw something for it on You Tube.
