Well chicks---I don't have one done for you again today. *hangs head in slacker shame* I do have something partially written, but I can't keep my concentration long enough to really put it together in a finished format.
Do you think we should we cut it down to 1 or 2 times a week, put it on hiatus for a little bit, or just keep plugging along? I know eventually I will snap out of this funk, I just need to recharge my batteries. I can keep giving you guys topics if you want. Just let me know what you think.
UPDATE: Ok how about we do this on Friday's? Once a week should be a lot less overwhelming and gives everyone plenty of time to get their lo's done.
What do you guys think?

On a molecular level, I'm very busy.
If it were bi-weekly -as in TWO a month - maybe I could actually get something done. I have things written for all - just no time to scrap them. For the most part i plan to take my comments to your prompt and scrap them.
I think that once a week would be good. I also think that if you have a prompt, you could post it without having an example for us. I'd hate to see these go away completely, but you shouldn't feel stressed out by them either.
Whatever you decide, you're still awesome for starting these in the first place!

Yeah I don't want them to go away completely either. I just wondered if anyone was burnt out already like me.

once a week is much better... I started out good, but now I am so overwhelmed with everything else in life that ALL my scrapping is on the back burner yet I don't want to stop when I am getting better at journaling! this is such a wonderful challenge, and I love the prompts!

I don't want them to go away either. I love the prompts, because it helps me to get things written down that I would not otherwise think of. I will admit the 3 times a week has been challenging. I hate to see it drop down to twice a month, once a week would be great. But I don't want you stressed out over them either. And don't feel you have to scrap every one of them either! I just love the idea of having someone else come up with a thought that I respond to. Even throwing out the prompt would be great! If I have a list to choose from, it isn't as fun because then I probably would choose something either easier or less thought provoking. My thoughts anyway....once a week, and you don't have to scrap it before putting it out either!

I was thinking once a week a too. 3 is a lot more than I thought it would be! *blush*

Maybe another idea (if you aren't feeling it for any given week or your mojo runs away or life happens) would be to have people take turns thowing out prompts. Get a list ahead of time of those willing to help out and let others come up with the ideas.

I have a whole list of ideas, just no mojo. But I think that could be fun too!

Idea for you, and I'll admit this is somewhat self serving since I love these so much. Want to take turns hosting? You supply the ideas because that's part of the fun for me. But one week you can post the initial layout of the prompt, and another week i can, or someone else can. You have the list of ideas, but this way you can see someone else's take on it too, and that might increase your fun with it as well?-Tracy- wrote:emarie803 wrote:Maybe another idea (if you aren't feeling it for any given week or your mojo runs away or life happens) would be to have people take turns thowing out prompts. That sounds cool! I do so love seeing everyone's takes on the prompts. This is a really fun challenge. Wish I felt more like scrapping.

I will continue to journal whatever you decide. I know it must be hard to keep coming up with ideas. I have really enjoyed this.

I didn't used to journal much on my layouts. Basics....who what where type of thing. But since these prompts have started, I've noticed a definite difference in my layout journaling period. I want to show you, Tracy, what you've started, because I really like the direction these challenges have taken my overall scrapping. Mind if I brag a bit about the last couple of layout i've done?
The journaling reads... "Completing this layout comes on the heels of a journaling challenge about "Do you feel your Age?" Well, I'm young enough to still get out and and run and play and be goofy with my kids. But I'm old enough to not care what others think of how I'm living my life. I'm young enough to be idealistic about some aspects of the world, but old enough to know how hard we have to work to make this Earth a better place for our kids. I am funny at times, irritable at others. I love my children passionately, I love my job - most of the time, and I hate cleaning. I am so many things, I am.....nancy, at 45."
This journaling reads... "There is something special about the power of a fire. It heats our homes, warms our hands, and cooks our food. It can also destroy, in wildfires and house fires. Fire fascinates me...the dance of a campfire, the warmth of a candle...and yes, this controlled burn of a long abandoned property. I think of my dad as I watch the flames...his dedication as a fire fighter echoes within me. I watch the flames, remember him, and smile..."
This will help my kids even more about who I am and what we are as a family....thank you, and anything I can do to help I want to do!

Please do share!!! I LOVE both of these! The first one is totally stunning!!!
I'm so happy with all the journaling that's been sneaking onto my pages too. I didn't use to put anything on mine before (when I paper scrapped, I at least had dates & stuff, digi...not so much).
We should have a journal girls share thread where we can show off our new journaling layouts that weren't for the challenge!

Thank you!! Had fun with it, and I actually used it for the September color challenge of brown and blue too! lol-Tracy- wrote:

I love the idea of a thread to share the layouts that have changed as a result of this...cuz this whole process rocks!
I think Friday's are a good choice. And the weekly time frame gives those who have weekends off to work, as well as those who have weekdays free to scrap. I just know I don't want them to stop!!-Tracy- wrote:Well chicks---I don't have one done for you again today. *hangs head in slacker shame* I do have something partially written, but I can't keep my concentration long enough to really put it together in a finished format.
