**Journaling Challenge 8-17**
Ladies you all did a wonderful job on the last challenge!! :-D Ready for our next one?

Feel free to use whatever format you like. Digi or paper, small or large whatever you're comfortable with. I will provide you with a prompt, but you can write about whatever you wish. If you have an idea for a prompt you'd like to see please let me know. Also, if your journaling is not easily read, please add it to your post so we can all read your story.

Today's Prompt: What's bugging you? For fun, I used this prompt literally. I know that technically, a worm isn't a bug, but it is a little critter so it counts in my book.

My example:

Image

He may seem cute, but don’t let his good looks fool you. This annoying little creature has a habit of sticking a tune in your head that plays over, and over, and over. Just when you think he’s gone, when you think you can finally have some peace and quiet inside your brain, there he is. He can take your most favorite song and turn it into something you never want to hear again. Ever. So why am I’m telling you this? Because that little bugger has been inside my head for two weeks straight and he won’t go away!!! There is something about the noise the air conditioner has been making lately that resembles the base line from Cocaine by Eric Clapton. Now every time the dang thing comes on, the band in my head starts playing. Sometimes I don’t even know it’s happening. I catch myself wondering why my legs are so tired and suddenly realize I’ve been tapping my feet to the beat of the stupid song. Eric, I love you. Really I do. But if you don’t get out of my freakin head I’m going to need some cocaine myself.

I can't wait to see what you all do!!!
On a molecular level, I'm very busy.

Wow Grace, you're quick! Very lovely journaling. Really tugged at my heart. I remember seeing my little guys off to school for the first time too. It's so hard.

:bluewaiting: :bluewaiting: Oh no!! that stinking Cocaine song is in my head!! I haven't heard that song since the 80s and I cannot begin to understand how a tune like that can pop back in to my head!! Obviously, I need to turn on the radio and get that worm out of my ear!

Your journaling is great - amusing, and so true.

Grace - your journaling is wonderful - it is hard to let go!

7 1/2 hours that stupid song went thru my head!!! made worse by the fact that the whole department was apparently in the same boat because you'd be walking down the halls and out of nowhere you'd hear 'darlin' I love you but give me Park Avenue."

LOL It's funny that you say that because the same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago. The same song and I only know that one line to the song.

Re: **Journaling Challenge 8-17**
Here's mine...and it's my first layout ever without a photo! The journaling reads "
My kids call me the Grammar Nazi. I despise poor grammar! While I can occasionally use slang or curse words with the best of them, I hate how people seem to accept the massacre of the English language. “My bad?” That’s not a sentence! That’s a possessive with an adjective! “Sup, man?” That one just makes the hair on the back of my neck stand on end. To me, it’s worse than fingernails drawn down a chalkboard. “Can I ax you a question?” Hmm…I didn’t realize you could cut a question in half with a sharp blade attached to the end of a handle. While I don’t yearn for the days of antique language often heard in Shakespeare’s plays, one has to admit there is a certain romanticism about it. “Ah, what light through yonder window breaks! It is the East, and Juliet is the sun. Arise fair sun, and kill the envious moon!” What a picture those words create! Far different than…”Yo dude, dat chick up dere…she fierce!” My children’s teachers have often told me they can tell the way I talk to my children by the way they use their language skills in the classroom. Their vocabularies are far beyond what is usually expected of their ages, and even more strikingly, not only do they use multi-syllabic words, but they know the meanings and use them properly! I will never forget Evan…age 3… asking me to buy him a toy “if you find an appropriate one.” Appropriate? At age 3? Or Callum…similar age, saying “I apowogize, Mommy!” He couldn’t say it quite right, but he sure knew how to use it. Way to go, boys!! I wear my title of Grammar Nazi with pride!"

Tracy, and Ladies!

This are awesome. Each morning since you have started this challenge, Tracy, I've been eager to see how everyone would respond to your prompts. I don't do a lot of journaling, but this is beginning to inspire me.
