I'm not complaining as I think the layouts are really pretty, but was really just wondering if ACOT has teamed up with the Webster's Pages design team? the gallery is flooded with their layouts which are all LOVELY but after the first two I noticed that they have Websters DT in their names and have only posted those layouts. I am on a couple blog design teams...nothing MAJOR and do post my layouts here but I would post them here anyway because I post ALL my layouts here, and try to participate on the MB as much as possible. I guess I'm just a little worried that before long all our "regular" layouts will get lost in a sea of "professional" layouts with stock photos, and $25 worth of product on one page promoting the paper manufacturers.
Maybe its because of the chat last night....I really am just wondering and not complaining at all. I hope that comes across in this post as I don't want to step on toes or tick anyone off here as this IS my scrapping home!
it makes it so much better when it's 2 or 3 copies of the same layout, huh?
I'm not sure how I feel about the 'professional' layouts. I know that there is one gal who always gets picked for the weekly layout of the week thing and I've never seen her post. Don't get me wrong, her layouts are amazing, but I feel like they just serve to send us to her blog.
Just my opinion.

We were lucky enough last night to have the Webster's gals show us a layout done three ways (easy, medium, and advanced) to inspire us to not be afraid to use the complicated and detailed Webster's papers and products. I'm sure those are what you're seeing today in the gallery.
I actually love seeing how the design teams work with a specific manufacture! It inspires me to try new things. I guess it's no different than what our ACOT DT does with stuff in the shoppe
Loved seeing the different ways to do the pages too

I didn't mean to stir anything up here and I definately DO like the layouts, and I LOVE coming here on a reveal day for ACOT's CT to see what they do with a particular line....I guess what really through a red flag up for me is there are a few (not the Webster's DT) people who post here and have NEVER said a word on the MB, never left a single comment in the gallery on other's works, and they post these amazing layouts that are for DT work for mfr's. I have and do quite often go to a mfr. website to specifically see what their DT may do with a line so I guess when I saw it HERE, which I consider to be a more personal place, a place where I can see what the "average joe" so to speak is doing, it just made me wonder.
I think a reason they might come here is cause ACOT sells their product. For digital designers I ct with I post at their stores, I also try to comment on other layouts around mine. Sometimes I don't have enough time though to do as much as I should with gallery lovens. I guess that's just my view since I upload to several stores for different designers. I love my designers and their designs and am honored to help them.
Yep, I agree! It's all part of the advertising game

I know what you mean. I think a bunch of us are maybe more used to it because on the digi side this happens A LOT. There are many posters of l/o's that never come to the MB. As the other ladies said, it's a way of advertising and ACOT is one of the few sites that has an 'open gallery' (where you can post products not sold at their store).
Personally, I think it's their loss because this is the best scrapping community around imho.
ETA: I wouldn't worry about 'stirring things up" this has been a complaint of many users over the years. ((hugs))
On a molecular level, I'm very busy.
Yeah, I know what you mean about the people that post layouts but never leave comments or play on the MB. That's why I only leave comments on layouts done by 1. People I know 2. People who have a decent comment count on their profile or 3. People that have a decent MB post count. They have to meet one of these qualifications to get a comment from me! Because I leave good comments! Not just "nice."

Hi Ladies,
I just wanted to pop in and say hi! I'm part of the Webster's DT.
Maybe I can clear up why the gallery was flooded. We were invited to do the chat here and were asked
to show the versatility of the Webster's papers. A magazine used to show how to do a Simple, Moderate and Complex version of the same page, so we thought that would be a fun way to highlight how any style scrapper could use the papers. Since ACOT sells WP, in a sense, it was a way to advertise and share what can be done with WP.
I can understand how you might be wondering why the gallery was 'taken over' for a bit. LOL.
I wasn't able to make the chat the other night because our power was out! So, I just uploaded the project I'd made for it. Hope this explanation helps.
Thanks!

You're nice, and even though I've never met you, I like you. I appreciate your honesty and talent.Anabelle wrote:Hi Ladies,

Hi, ladies, as Anabelle said, the Webster's Design Team posted those layouts in the gallery for the chat we had here on Wednesday.
Thank you so much for hosting us and letting us share some ideas using Webster's Pages. I enjoyed chatting with those who were available for the chat, it's always fun to meet other scrappers in the online community.

Yes, we had a fun time and always love chatting about Webster's! ACOT was where I bought all of the Winter Wings collection last year and when I found out we were asked to chat here I was excited. I actually saw a few familiar faces which is cool. If you didn't make the chat, I hope you can revisit it for some inspiration and cool sneak peaks of the new releases!
Totally valid question Susan. I think Anabelle was able to reply but I also just wanted to say that some of us have been regular members here for years. ACOT was actually the first place I ever saw Webster's Pages products so I have been a customer here much longer than I have been involved with Webster's Pages. Some of us who have been regular members for a while used different names at the request of ACOT so we could be identified in the chat as the WP DT. And I promise you all of our pictures our real, no stock photos. In fact most of our pages wind up in our personal albums so they are totally real pages - we ask the DT to create what they would create for themselves and just share them. Anyway, I can totally see your point and hope this clarifies things a bit.
