I definitely love my Cricut and since I got my Gypsy I love it even more. :) I really didn't care for Design Studio software... so the Gypsy has made things much easier for me! :)

The learning curve of the Silhouette is very quickly overcome with practice!! They have awesome tutorials and amazing shapes to dowload!!! I love mine and I have 5000 shapes/images downloaded on my computer!!! I was lucky enough to get an unlimited subsciption last year!!!

Re: What's your favourite cutting machine?
I have the Quickutz Revoluton which I love! I get very frustrated when your in the middle of working on a computer and the thing just dies. I suppose since our trucking business runs off of computers and phones 24/7/365 it becomes a hassle when electronics go on the fritz. We keep two back up computers in the office at all times. So I decided to buy a machine which would last me a life time. The Revolution is functional, stylish, and sturdy.

My daughter has the Expression and she loves it. One thing no one has mentioned is the SCAL program for the Expression which gives one the abilities the Silhouette has. I just need to take the time to learn how to use the Expression.

You can find SCAL here:

I love my Cricut even if it is just the personal one. Eventually I hope to get the SCAL program so I can have more freedom with it.

Re: What's your favourite cutting machine?
I have a cricut and had a pazzles that I just sold to buy more cricut carts. I really have to say that the cricut carts are well worth the $$. Take a serious look at the pazzles cut files and make sure it is truly what you are looking for. I guess I really like the dimension of the cricut files as well as all the features the machine has. The Pazzles has a very high learning curve, I was sold because I wanted to cut vector images until I actually tried to cut them. The really nice part about the Pazzles you can cut true type font right from your computer. With that said I never used it because I like demensional stickers way to much. I still bought a ton of Thickers. LOL Good luck with your choice.

Re: What's your favourite cutting machine?
I started out with the quickutz and added the revolution. Love it for the alphas and use it all the time. Have the 12 inch plate which is great in order to cut out faster. Then I got the small cricut. My daughter used it more than I did. Then I got the Big Shot for Christmas and I can use it for my quickutz and sizzix which eliminates having to haul both to crops. I think I have been using my quickutz more lately because the fonta worked better for my layouts. It all depends on what you are trying to accomplish. Good luck deciding.
