hi every one, i dont know if i am in the right area on your site but i could really use some help. my daughter is getting married down at the beach in nj in july. i would like to make centerpieces for her bridal shower and i could use some ideas on how to do this. i thought of papering coffee cans with references to the beach and then maybe making paper kites and pinwheels or i could buy small pails and fill with sand and do something that way. i am not sure. please help. thanks tracy

I think it really depends on how complicated you want to get and how much money you want to spend. I would go with something easy to lighten the stress.
The idea of small pails with sand is cute and maybe adding shells and starfish with some of that fish netting. Bo Bunny has a cute beach line with some embellies that might be cute on the pails/buckets.

The dollar spot has some cute little pails right now - not sand pails, but they are metal and you could always spray paint them the color needed. A cute idea would be to use paper to create pinwheels and stick them in the buckets, with sand holding them up

I have no specific ideas, but a good site to check out is ProjectWedding.com. They have a lot of good and simple DIY ideas mixed in with the fancy-schmancy ones . I've gotten a bunch of great ideas from them.

And, if you don't have shells or starfish, you can easily get them on eBay for pretty cheap. My son is getting married in Sept. & I'm throwing a shower for my future DIL, so I need ideas, too.
