Ok here are two not so good pictures of my daughters. They are not good photos but they are funny. The first one looks like Gracie is wasted. The second of Bella looks like a mug shot. So would it be totally inappropriate to make layouts with them with funny captions? Or just plain wrong?

well I am laughing right now, so I am going to go with funny, not at all inappropriate or 'wrong', but on the other hand, I generally try to keep the sharing of photos that will embarrass my DD later in life, to a minimum. Every now and then you just have to do it though because it is too funny not to.

I try to do that. That is why I have never done a layout like this. But really, depending on how they turn out, they may find these pages hilarious. But I will most likely do the pages, then not add them to their books, but keep them hiding some place else.

Hmmmm....I would think about it some.....they may hate it later in life. It all depends on their personality and sensitivity. I know my nieces have restricted my photo taking because of pictures like these. Sorry.

Could you ask her, what she thinks? Maybe she wouldn't mind if you had a really funny title. Some kids like being the center of attention even if they are the brunt of the joke, especially if they have a good sense of humor.

Honestly I can see that. But in the picture, she had just woken up from sleeping on the couch, so she looks out of it.

If I scrapped photos like that and then showed them to my boys (when they were younger), they would NEVER let me take photos of them again or would put up such a fuss that I'd never get a good one.


If you can scrap them and hide them.... Go for it.

it depends on your kids' personalities but if I had done this to my kids I never would have gotten another photo from them. The older they get, the harder it is to get them to like your hobby as it is, why make it worse than you have to?

Would you like to have a photo of you looking like that scrapped? I wouldn't have even wanted it shared on here.

honestly I don't care if those type of pictures of me got scrapped. I have scrapped pictures like that of myself from childhood. And frankly from adulthood too. I guess that is just me though. I grew up with a man (my father) whose totally in appropriate sense of humor has unfortunately rubbed off on me. So I a bit off on things like this.
