Also, if you're trying to cut something with a lot of detail, you may be trying to make it too small. I've found that there are some things that just won't work on the smallest settings--try enlarging your item and see if that helps.

Don't forget that textured cardstock strips used with a border punch make great accents for cards or layouts. I save all my strips from matting photos, etc., to punch for cards. Good luck getting it to work in your cricut - with all the Cherry's advice I bet you will get it to work!
Thanks! Its good to hear that I've been using my textured cardstock correctly. I also use it as a LO base, cardmaking, matting, etc. Its just been giving me such trouble with the cricut, I was really thinking about giving up with it. I think I've tried all possible setting combinations, but I will give it one more try. I'll also take pictures of my cuts. Maybe someone here can tell me what I've been doing wrong. Thanks!
