Ours will go up Saturday or Sunday! We are only doing a little 3-foot table top tree because 1. we don't really have room and 2. We will be out of town almost the entire month of December so we won't be here to REALLY enjoy it. I am soooo ready for Friday though! Christmas music will be blasting everywhere!!

Ours goes up this weekend. We just bought a new tree and skirt (the cats did evil things to the old skirt) last night, so now I'm super excited to put it up. We had to look around a bit to find a nice unlit one, so I'm happy that we actually found one!

when I get home from shopping Friday morning Matt and I are getting our tree, as per our tradition, but he has to be at wor at 3, so we won't start decorating till Saturday

Last year it was a nightmare getting everything up and ready and we decided that this year we would not have the same nightmare. So, up went the tree and the outdoor decorations as soon as we had a nice weekend after Halloween. We don't spend Thanksgiving here so it works out fine. We didn't fight about the decorations and we have time to enjoy them. The time after Thanksgiving is such a busy time - it's the last 2 weeks of classes where I'm trying to make sure I cover all of the necessary material, finish grading, and then prepping for finals and graduation. Graduation is the weekend before Christmas every year. December is absolutely out for decorating.
I think my hubby actually likes that the decorations are up. The kids have been talking about the nativity and advent and countdown to Christmas. We didn't do that last year when we fought constantly over the decorations!

Ours don't go up until after my birthday. My mom always wanted to make my birthday my birthday so nothing Christmas went up until after and it kinda stuck with me so mine will go up next weekend.

Hubby and DD are going camping Friday - Sunday, so Friday morning I will pull out the decorations and start setting things up. I'm having a scrapping class and crop at my house Saturday night so I want to have it looking nice and festive.

Bar is decorated, linens are washed and 1/2 of the totes are in. Tonight and tomorrow I'll work on the house and then Friday, we'll put up the tree. Make that {{I}} will put up the tree. DH and DS will go cut wood and stay the he** out of my way because I am one of those people who have to have their tree p-e-r-f-e-c-t.
