I used to every 3 weeks until I got married and got on my dh's insurance and dropped mine. His doesn't have chiroprator coverage at all and it was like $30 a visit. I had it completely free with mine before that.
I can't honestly say that I notice a difference, but I did like the little massagey thing they did before the doctor came in!

Re: Question of the day 11/18
No, I've never been but walked in the office of one with Lynn back in July. She was a little sore afterwards but said it really made her feel better.

As for me that visit was a memorable one. A guy walked in just after Lynn went to the back and he walked like he'd been run over by a freight train. He came out just before Lynn and when he left the receptionist said he was always in with problems from horses. This time a horse danced on his back. I looked at her and said, 'He ought not beat on them or the horse wouldn't have done that.' I've been around horses 48 years and never had one dance on my back.

For some reason I´m a bit leery of chiroptractors but a good physical therapist can do a lot to solve your neck problems. My pilates instructor is a physical therapist and she has done more for my neck and back than any medical doctor ever did.

I have some back issues and have gone to the chiropractor several times- each time was anywhere from 4-6 appointments depending on how bad I was. It really helped me a lot. I never knew that I had degenerative discs in my neck until I went. I always thought everyone's neck sounded like mine!

I went over a doz times in 2.5 weeks. And found out mine is Degenerative discs too. He said that the "aligning" may not help as its already pretty bad. It helped my hips, just not my neck. And when I left and stopped seeing him it was tons times worse than before!

For years my doctor was an OD and ostepopaths do back work. I've had a bad back off and on since I was pregnant with my son (who is going to be 38 in Jan.). I've gone to chiro drs. and had excellent results. Hope you can find one who can help!

No. They are not real doctors. My body makes those cracking and creaking sounds enough on it's own, I don't need to pay somebody to make me sound like a bowl of rice crispies.

Re: Question of the day 11/18
Big doubting thomas here would never go. Finally after suffering with some back issues that began about 8 years ago, I did the deed and went. Best thing I could have done for myself. However, if a couple or so adjustments don't have an impact, stop going and see your doctor. Chiropractors can make something worse. Check with them to make certain they will do some preliminary xrays to see what may be the problem. A good chiropractor will not do something unless they know what they are dealing with and if they can't help, should say that to you. Good Luck.
