Re: Question of the day 10/19
my parents had a dog before I was born, so it was technically my first pet and his name was Hermit. The first pet that we got after I was alive was a dog named Britt that my dad rescued on a hunting trip. Sometime in there we also had a bird named Feathers, but I don't remember if that was before or after Britt.

Golden Retriever named Rex. I was so young, I didn't pronounce "r's" well, so to me he was "Wex".
I wonder, sometimes, if we ever give God a headache.

The first one I remember would be the two cats we had Puffy and Tiddles. I *think* I was around for a cat named Muffy, but I don't remember as it would have died when I was very young.

Re: Question of the day 10/19
It's hard to remember who was first, growing up on a dairy farm we had 14 cats, dog, and plenty of calves that were befriended.

I remember Tex the Simental calf - I would take him out of the pen to play house by the swing set (braided a halter and lead for him out of twine of course).

Rosie the hen - she always came to me for treats when I went in the coop to feed the chickens.

I loved all our cats, but my earliest cat friend would be "Marriage" - no idea why I named a cat that at age 5. She was a long haired gray, and one of the cats that perished in our Thanksgiving eve barn fire.

I have so many pets ranging from a spoiled cow to a squab (baby pigeon I rescued) - great memories growing up on a farm. (other than the fire and losses from that night)
