Re: Favorite Techniques?
I love extracting and changing colors to match my pictures. I also like to make my own papers and brads. I need to learn how to warp shadows. Hope there is a lesson here about that. Also want to learn about photo masks. Sometime, instead of just reading and chatting, I should actually learn how to do something :)

I'm still learning digi techniques, so I have to say that my fav technique right now is digi - as compared to paste eating - which has taken a back seat lately in my designs.

Re: Favorite Techniques?
My fave technique is shopping! I don't do digi, but my new fave technique is using products I haven't used before-like brads, flowers, etc (I took a break from scrapping and when I came back there were all these wonderful new products!).

Re: Favorite Techniques?
I`m still new to digi and love each new thing I learn but one recent thing I learned that I am just loving is masking. As a paper scrapper I love scallops and torn edges and as a digi scrapper it is so easy to mask a paper onto a scallop or torn edge strip. I have been collecting lots of masks and...of ya...the second thing I love is overlays. I have been collelcting like a fiend, I just can`t resist em!

I totally agree with you...I am still too new at this but my favorite thing to do when scrapbooking are picking out the embellishments..I am a little obsessed with buttons and flowers..

I like making layouts that look like paper layouts, for the most part. I'm all about the layers, and refining my use of shadows.

I have no idea about how to extract. Maybe that would be a good class for the next crop. I can see from los I've seen that it is a great technique to know.

Oh and it is SOOOo addicting!!!!

I think that is a great idea to have an extracting class. Im sure there are easier ways then how im going it so i guess when the time comes we got to make sure we make the suggestion!

Re: Favorite Techniques?
Love extracting and blending... and I love having layers and layers that I can turn on and off to see how my design would look without something I've added. I also love using Photoshops layer styles to alter embellies and papers. I did a bunch of that in my "Did Someone Say Cookie?" layout in my gallery, and I had a blast! I was able to take a simple doggie bone embellie and make it look like a dog biscuit, and took paw prints and made them look like they were imprinted in the snow. I love experimenting like that!

Re: Favorite Techniques?
I don't do extracting much on my photos, it feels too much like cutting out a photo for paper scrapping, but I use extracting to make my own backgrounds & embellishments. Which I love!!

I like to make my pages feel like paper pages, I'm not into the fantasy pages (although they look cool, just not my style). I like playing with textures and adding overlays & shadows to everything to give depth.
