My tan usually comes from being around and in the pool and just being outside in the garden I usually use sun block if I intend on being out any prolonged time I havnt lad out in the sun or been to a taaning bed in years

I just burn like crazy out in the sun but I do use self tanners. The unfortunate thing about being very pale is that some people can be so cruel especially when they're younger, which causes people like me to be very self conscious. My 21 year old daughter is a red head and I have witnessed some very cruel things being said to her b/c she's very fair skinned. I guess the whole reason for me saying all this is that I hope we, as mothers, can instill in our children acceptance. Being fair skinned is not something we can do anything about. OK, off my soap box now....carry on:)

I never used too, but since last fall I've been going to a tanning salon maybe one a week or once every two weeks. Just to give myslef a bit iof colour so I don't always look so pale.

I go to the tanning beds, I'm sorry but a lot of those tanning lotions and sprays make you look like a Ompa Lompa

I'm too fair skinned for sunning or tanning beds. I normally have to wear a very high SPF & reapply every 30 minutes so I avoid too much sun. Besides I like being pale.

I use to go to the tanning beds, but haven't in the last couple of years. The self tanners rub off on my clothing so that's a no go. I thought I may sit out this year and read for about an hour a day, but will use sunscreen. Dh and I are planning on planting a garden, so I guess being outdoors will help.

Neither. While I do use a sun block, I tan so easily just floating in my pool that I don't use either of the others. Despite blue eyes, I do not have a fair complexion.
