LOL!! These are so funny. When my youngest was 4, (he is 15 now) we had a tetra fish. The kids loved that fish! WEll as all fish do he died on day. So I flushed him down the toilet and told the boys that the fish went to heaven. A couple days later I see Aaron talking to the toilet. I asked him what he was doing. He said "talking to God." I laughed so hard and then tried to explain that God wasn't in the toilet.

I have to revive this thread again to share another one...

My 5 yo is a tad obsessed with makeup lately.  I gave her and her sisters a lip gloss for a reward about a month ago and instructed them that they were for playing only.  "You can't wear it when we go out in public!"  Ok, they all said.

So one Sunday morning on the way to church I glance in the rearview mirror and notice Emily putting on her lipgloss.  I said "Honey, remember what I said about the lip gloss in public?"

She responds:  "Yes!?  But we aren't going to Public, we're going to Church!!"

I explained that they were "Pig" tails.  She looked at me like I'd lost my mind and still calls them Pink tails...

That reminds me of something my dd said a couple years ago.  She was 4 at the time. And I did do a lo of it - we were in Walgreens and she saw a display of items for Breast Cancer awareness -   She just went from one thought to another  -

"HEY!   LOOK!  Those are pink M & Ms!
I like M & Ms
I really like pink M & Ms
Pigs are Pink.
Pigs have tails.
I don't have a tail.
See?"

She is into Olivia now.  She tells me all the time that I wear her out, but she loves me anyway.  Gee, thanks.

My kids are all too old to say such cute things anymore, but I have a few from when they were little:

DS was under 2, asking me a question, and I couldn't hear him.  I said "speak up".  He jutted his chin up in the air and spoke in the same quiet voice!
wipekin = napkin
cut it = knife
Insconsin = Wisconsin
useeitafore? = Have you seen it before?  (That one drove my mom crazy! My dd wanted to know if grandma had seem the video they were watchin.  When grandma couldn't figure it out, dd sobbed "call mommy!"  I knew right away what she was asking! LOL)

Can't wait for grandkids to start all over again!
Have a blessed day!

This one isn't so funny but it is sweet. I was running my fingers thru my daughter's hair and taling to her. I was just looking at how pretty she was and I said, "how did you get to be so beautiful"? Her quick and nonchalant reply was, "God made me that way". Then she kept on playing like nothing. I thought how on earth does she already know that already.

Well this isn't from my kids, but from when I was student teaching in a 7th grade class.  This little boy asked me how much money I was getting paid to teach them.  I told him that I wasn't getting paid to teach, that in fact I had to pay my school money so I could go teach them.  He thought about it for a moment and said, "well I think you are getting ripped off."

Yes.  IT's a line from the Olivia book.  But my dd likes to pull it out of her pocket right before she sees steam coming out of my ears.

I have a couple of funnies that my kids came up with

My DD was about 5 years old when my Brother (who lives in FL) called to ask her what she wanted for christmas.

The conversation went like this:

DD.. Tio I want a Cow
Uncle.. A cow? why do you want a cow?
DD.. So my mommy doesnt have to go buy milk!
Uncle..{Laughs} and what else do you want?
DD.. Tio you know what i really need?
Uncle.. What?
DD.. some Ken Dolls
Uncle.. Ok.. and you dont want barbie dolls?
DD.. NO.. I have so many barbie dolls that they are going to turn into lesbians if they dont have a ken doll soon..

(Yes even she laughs about it now a days BTW she is 13 1/2 now.

My Youngest DS and i were in the car and as we are driving he sees a HUGE chimney (it was on an INCINERATOR building) and you could see that white smoke was coming out of it.   With the sweetest voice and look in his eyes ... totally amazed... he looks at me and points out the window and says
MOMMY? Is that the machine that makes CLOUDS????

I wanted to eat him up he was about 7 at the time!

 I have 2

My DS and DD were sitting at their little table while me and some friends were at the big table I raised my glass for a toast and said  "Cheers" the two (then little) ones raised there cups and clinked and said "Tables"

My youngest was invited to a birthday party for Jesus around Christmas time many years ago... we are not particularly religious but I welcome any and all forms of spiritualtiy and was fortunate to have such wonderful neighbors.   On the invitation a request to bring a birthday gift in Jesus' honor that will be donated to unfortunate children...what a great idea and my dd she was very excited yet really didn't know who Jesus was....when she came home I asked how it went and she was all excited, "they had cake and we sang Happy Birthday to Baby Cheez-It!' Her favorite snack at the time..

The other day my 7 yr old GD says to me "how old will you be on your Birthday?" I replied, "56".
She sits there and says"hmmmmmmm, then you only have a few more years to live."
Of course, I was horrified at the moment, but now it makes me think about all the things that I haven't done yet...
Got to love grandchildren.

Ana, you reminded me of a funny one that a former 6th-grade student said.  We were talking about exoskeletons in science.  I ask them how our lives would be different if we had exoskeletons.  Zach raised his hand, and ever so seriously said, "We wouldn't get many dates."

Easter weekend, my granddaughter Mackenzie was sitting on my lap and pointing to my cheek and saying "Ooh, what's that?"  I think it was a red mark - and pretty soon she pointed to the other cheek and said "What's that?".  I got a little exasperated and said " Oh, grandma is just getting old".   She had a shocked look on her face and said "Oh no Grandma, we have to put you in the garbage!"

Her favorite saying happens when she has done something wrong and you ask her "Maclenzie, why did you do that?"

She says "I have to!"

Reminds me of when DS#2, about 4 at the time replied, "To make it pretty!" when I asked him why he drew all over the newly painted wall with crayons.  I just couldn't be angry then.  I was trying too hard not to laugh.

My DGS has a problem with speech and has speach therapy at school.  One of the cutest things he has said is
"Dam (Gram) I have to go to peach class"

Pushing a toddler around the store in a cart saying Dam (Gram) got me a few evil eyes.

Here's a conversation between DH, DS and a neighbor who was visiting us:

Neighbor:  So, Paul, are you still running?
DH:  I used to to.  Now I walk.
Pause in conversation.
DS:  Yeah, pretty soon he'll be crawling.

(This is when DS was already 16.)

My daughter is 22 months now and about a month ago we were driving in the woods and she thought we were at her papas house.  So she kept begging to go to Nana's and Papa's.  I kept telling her it would be a few more days and she said "I be patient".  Guess I didn't realize I told her to be patient so often but it was cute.
