 Since I'm the only one who ever changes it, it goes from the back and over the top. If it's done the other way the kittehs pull it off and shred it.

 No, and actually at the moment my toilet paper is not on the roll at all.  My youngest likes to unroll it.  So I keep it up high at of her way.  LOL

In my house, yes, apparently that is the rule...along with whose job it is to find the dishwasher.

It ALWAYS goes over the top...I have changed it at other people's homes too because I believe they must have put it the wrong way by accident

 When I put it on, it is over the top. That's how I prefer it. But bf puts it on backwards. I don't say anything or change it. I'm just glad he puts a new roll on!

 LOL nope doesnt' matter to me... as long as I have some to use when I need it.
Althought I do like it on the holder... I think it's just lazyness when people can't take a few minutes to put it on the holder LOL

 It seems we are either an "over the top" person or "don't matter" person...haven't noticed anyone demanding an underneath ,hanging down where you can't get ahold of it way to do it. So, that being said, WHY don't you "don't matter" people just go ahead and hang it right? WHich is, of course, over the top especially since  it doesn't matter to you? Sheeeeesh, life would be so much easier.
