I am super excited and super nervous!!!!!!!!! I have been asked to be the photographer at a friend's wedding in October! It will be my first wedding. Also, another friend who just did her first wedding a couple of weeks ago and is a fantastic photographer has offered to let me be a second shooter at a wedding she maybe doing in August so I can I practice.

I just bought my DSLR last week SUPER GREAT DEAL on Amazon.com. The Canon Rebel Xsi is usually 799.00, Best Buy had it on sale for 749.00 plus tax, but Amazon has it for 679.00 no tax or shipping!! The refurbished Xti's were only $100-$150 less... So not worth it. So keep searching, you'll find a great deal and it's definitely a must if you're going to go pro. Good luck!!

I did the same thing this past September!!!! I was sooo nervous! They had another guy also more professioal than myself, but it was really fun and a great learning experience!! And I got paid! Have fun

Actually, from what I've been reading and heard from other photographers sometimes a refurbished one is better than a brand new one.
