 Well I ended up going to walmart and getting the stuff I needed to cook a few finger foods. I made a taco dip, my boyfriend fried chicken wings ( and he said he didn't know how to cook) I made devil eggs, popper and some fried mushrooms. Then we all sat out by the fire til is was time to watch the ball drop.

 our traditional pork roast with sauerkraut (sp) - its supposed to be good luck.  And I got a big bottle of white wine to go with it.  First we will watch the Rose Bowl, have shrimp, cheese and crackers in front of the tv, then make dinner.  I love New Years Day.  Then back to work tomorrow.  But, I have laringitix, so at least I won't have to answer any phones and maybe people will leave me alone and take pity on me

 Hubby is a New Year's baby, so it's some of his favorites today.

Marinated steaks, salad, rolls and homemade apple pie

 We went out to dinner before going to the bar last night and today we went out to eat for dh's birthday.

 what ever one can find in the kitchen is game.........

 after too much turkey for thanksgiving & xmas, we just bake
 ham for NY's and paired it with misc. side dishes and dessert.

 then, there's the neverending supply of cookies and muffins

 we had tomato soup and grilled cheese and chocolate chip cookies

then went to a sports bar for supper for free w/ coupons and i had a philly steak & cheese
