What are you doing New Year's Eve?
Last year, we had another couple staying with us and had a small party here.  E (my honey) did a seafood bake and we spread out paper sacks on the table on the lanai and everyone dug in.

This year we have no big plans.  E is cooking an entire menu out of one of his cook books.  There are about five courses so we'll spread this out from afternoon to evening.  We may meet a couple of friends for a cocktail or two early afternoon but will have a quiet evening to ourselves this year.

And you?

I am having a friend over too.  I told him I would get back to him on the time becaues I do have to work that day and my son will be home also with his gf, best friend and his gf.  So, it will be 6 of us.  I want it nice and casual; we will play cards and board  games and I am making some snacks.  I have to decide what I will be making yet......

We always stay home, no need to be on the road with all those who are drinking.

We are staying home, watching football, eating snacks and my sil and her new husband will be here.  My Mom & Dad will probably also be here, since they only live 2 miles away.

We're either going to one daughter's or babysitting for the other daughter or staying home by ourselves.  Makes no difference to me.

Not sure yet...we are talking about going downtown to the casinos.  I wouldn't care if we stayed home either.

Staying home and staying indoors.  We've got a good many people here who think the proper way to greet the new year is by firing their guns up into the air.  :x What goes up must come down - and it often hits a child when it does come down!!! :(

Re: What are you doing New Year's Eve?
I was planning on spending the evening with a recently divorced friend, but she has to work her second job that night so we might go to a movie on New Year's Day instead. As it stands, I'll be enjoying a nice quiet evening at home which is always my preference. My holiday break from school ends Jan. 6 and I still have lots of boxes to unpack from my {cough} October {cough cough} move so I should really use the "found" time to finally finish unpacking. Otherwise I'll use it as an excuse not to study once school is back in session.

NOTHING!!! We usually just hang around because our kids are still young and we don't have sitters :waiting:. I don't think I miss it much because people can get a little crazy...but I would love to have some family and friends over.

We are staying home and having pizza and wings. Boring, but safe.

My cousin and her 5 children always come to visit from SD and we eat junk food and play board games.  We usually go sledding during the day but it doesn't look like we'll have enough snow this year :(.  I'm sure we'll find something else to do.  It is always so good to get together with them and the kids all have such a great time together!

We are having a party. About 8-10 adults are coming and 6- 8 kids.

The adults we are going to play games downstairs.... Encore, Scattergories, ect.

The kids will be upstairs and they can watch Disney New Years and they get a pinata, glow sticks and nosie makers.

It should be fun, I am really looking forward to it.

We are going to CO for New Year's to see my SIL and her husband.  DD will be going snowboarding for the first time this week and we are taking a friend of hers with us.  They are sure looking forward to it.
