Re: who makes their xmas cards
I did ours on Walgreens website in 06 and I was very pleased.  I actually put a Santa hat on our puppy and used that and put Happy New Year instead of Christmas - just wanted to be different for our first Christmas together.

Good Luck - be sure to post here so we can all see how beautiful it is.

Re: who makes their xmas cards
I made picture cards last year, and then sent to an online site to have them printed.  But I dont make "cards" with paper, cause that would just be too much work.   I put a letter in the envelope with the card, and voila- christmas cards done!  I hope I can piece something together this year, that is as cute as some of the ones shown on the digi weekend!

Depending on the time frame you have set aside for this project, you may want to have a production line for the same type of card, or if you have more time to spend on this you can make original, one of a kind cards.

I make mine, too, but sometimes they are a picture slapped on CS and sometimes they are a full papercrafted card...those ones take forever!

Re: who makes their xmas cards
I usually make all my holiday cards by hand each year so my only advice would be to START EARLY and have FUN! I really enjoy doing this because I can make each one different and special. I have already started mine for this Christmas.

Re: who makes their xmas cards
I do just the 4x6 photos cuz they are super cheap.  But you could also have folded cards done.  I'm pretty sure MPIX, Shutterfly, Winkflash and others offer the option of uploading your own image/artwork.  Just be sure to have at least 1/4 inch buffer zone where nothing important is placed other than you background paper.  Cuz all printers have a trim area and ya never know which side is going to get the ax.  :)

Re: who makes their xmas cards
I haven't really ever made cards for everyone. Just a select few. But this year I'm thinking of making them in PSE 4.0.  I have no idea how long it will take.
Good luck with yours and have fun!

For the past few years I have done our photo cards through our local grocery store - really inexpensive & I love how they turn out!

jaziscrappy is so right.  The first year I made each one unique.  It was fun and the cards were appreciated, but so time consuming.  This year I did the production line approach and have completed my cards using cardstock, ribbon, a Thomas Kinkade stamp, colored pens and glitters.

I stamp my cards...do about 50 or 60 every year....just finished them up today.  It's a lot of fun...everyone seems to enjoy them!  Good Luck!!

Re: who makes their xmas cards
I make a few each year & the rest get store bought cards. I started out with a plan to make all my cards this year but after a few cards I lost interest. Maybe I'll be inspired to make at least a few more over the next few weeks.

Hey Peggy, you gonna use that new Sugar Cookie Line by Mary Fran? It's super cute! :)
I am thinking of making ours this year. Usually I don't even bother with any!

As a Stampin' Up Demonstrator...the best advice I can give you is to make it really simple.  I don't make too many cards...in general, I send out one of the picture cards to most people.  But I do make cards for my card-making friends and a few others.

Re: who makes their xmas cards
I send handmade cards to those I know will appreciate them and boxed cards to everyone else.
My advice?  Pick a couple of designs and then make them assembly line style.

I saw a challenge on another site that was a beautiful photo card.  If I remember right they had a template to go with it.  Pm if you want the site name.

Re: who makes their xmas cards
I make my cards digitally, 4x6 size and have them printed at Walmart.  here's the ones I've done the last couple years.

Be sure to look through the digital shoppe for some of the really awesome pre-made cards available! If you're in a pinch, all you have to do is drop your photos in these quick page style cards and print. -- don't forget you can use card templates and 4x6 Brag Albums too!

I've made handmade stamped cards for years, but this year plan to create 4x6 photo cards.  That should be easier :)
