 I know what you mean about the goldfish, Pam. I got 5 goldfish for my 10th birthday, and one of them lived until I was in college. I didn't even know that was possible!
We currently have 2 cats- Holly, a Siamese sealpoint who weighs about four pounds, and Jack Tripper, a big ol' fat black & white cat. They were  both rescue kitties. BUT... we have to get rid of them because dd is allergic- right now they aren't even living with us. She breaks out in hives & swells up if they touch her. So, if anyone is looking for a kitty or two, let me know!

We have a rescue cat - Roxie.....almost 3 years old and crazy!!!

We lost our black lab Herky and rescue cat Gidget after 17 years just three years ago.

I have two cat furkids named Moose (1) and Shelby (3)......couldn't live without them!

 We have several:

1 dog named Samson who is a black and tan shepherd/lab mix.  Got him about 10 years ago from some people in the city who couldn't get him to stay in their yard.  He kept ending up in city traffic.  Less than a month after we brought him home, he gets hit on our gravel road and has to have a leg amputated.

10 cats most of whom have adopted us:
Spot - white and the senior of the group
Shadow - tabby - so named because she follows you and is quiet as one
Chocolate Pudding - tuxedo cat - named by then 4yo DS - AKA Devil Cat
Squirm - black
Lucky - black
Clark - grey and white
Tom - yellow
Tiller - orange
(geez - this is like trying to name the 7 dwarves!)
Willow - calico
Spook - black

Yes, they are all fixed with the exception of Spook who seems to be sterile.

17 buff orpington hens and 2 roosters

I'm not counting the 7 expectant cows as pets tonight.  They were out.

Tiger Tarfoot - 10 year old Bengal (just Tiger for short)  Long story short...she has solid black feet on the bottom...
Sparkle - 8 year old devil cat
Tubby - 6 year old PixieBob....he's at my parent's house, he doesn't really care for the girly cats...

Lucky - almost 2 year old Daschound/Jack Russell mix.... He's my love  - a rescue pup that stole my heart!
