I am so sorry for everything you and your family are going through right now. I will keep all of you in my daily thoughts and prayers. We're here whenever you need to vent, cry, scream, or whatever you need to do.

At the risk of sounding redundant.....I just want to thank all of you gals again for your good thoughts and prayers and hugs!!!! OMG - they are SOOO welcome!!!!
I gave my mom and brother a few moments "rest" this evening and watched my SF after he had had his dinner. (He tries to get out of his chair....but he doesn't have the stability to stand - so he tends to fall!) He was rambling on about stuff and most of it I couldn't understand. But then he very clearly said "You are a very sweet child." He had the most wonderful smile on his face!!! Then I started patting his back (to hide my tears) and he then commented on the "extra=ordinary" life I have led and how proud he was of me.
What a treat - and one that I will always cherish.
So far, the boys have been okay. My younger son, Hunter (just 15) , went with me to the store this afternoon and commented on how sad he was about "Grandfather's condition" - but he didn't understand how surgery could "do that" to him. So, I explained that surgery is a trauma to the body and that he just didn't recover well. Then Hunter said ..."Hey - he went thru all the trauma of WWII.......he should be able to handle a little surgery!"
Again - thanks for all your good thoughts and PLEASE keep them coming!!!! It's keeping me going!!!!
