Any thoughts on what this "monster" is?
 Image

This was found on a beach in Montauk, NY.  This is really gross looking.  I have no idea what it is.  Some say a turtle without it's shell, but it doesn't look like a turtle to me.  Some say a decompossing raccoon or dog, but I don't see those either.  Kind of freaky/scary looking.  Any thoughts?

I think it looks like a sea turtle without it's shell. They have flipper like legs-and so does the thing in the picture.
On a molecular level, I'm very busy.

I have no idea what a turtle looks like w/out its shell, but the "legs/feet" look wrong in the pic. Maybe its a wild boar.

Re: Any thoughts on what this "monster" is?
A lot of folks say it cannot be a  sea turtle because turtles' shells are part of their skeletal system and attatched to their backs.  If it were a turtle it would be much more gory.  Also, if you look closely it has fur.  My guess is a dog.  The nose area is decomposed and isn't really a "beak". Nasty and sad, whatever it is.

Here's two pics of soft shell turtles. I think they kinda resemble whatever that is.

I have to agree with Tracy!  It looks like a turtle w/o it's shell.

I don't have any idea what that can be, but what I do know it is totally gross.

I hadn't seen those pics. That has to be a wild pig. No idea how it ended up on the beach though.

those teeth make me think wild boar/wild pig. Being that the nose wouldve been soft tissue, it would've rotted first. Poor animal.

Holy bejeezers!!  Is that real or an internet prank?  That is crazy looking!  I am thinking a wild pig also though.  Def. not a turtle or dog!  The teeth are crazy!  If this is real you will have to keep us updated if they find out what it is!

Sorry Jess,  I had not seen the other angles of that creature.  After watching that clip that DaisyLou linked us to, it is clear to me that it is something mutant-like, unless like Nene said and it's a wild boar.

Re: Any thoughts on what this "monster" is?
At first I thought it looked like a cat because of the lower jaw on the skull, and that perhaps the upper canine teeth are missing.

However, a male cat's penis is not visible like that or up that far on the abdomen, so it makes me think it's a dog of some sort.

Someone probably took their dog to the beach and he got in the water and was swept away and drowned.

That first pic looks like it was ps'd to me.

Just my guess....
