I am going to convert eli's crib into a toddler bed. She is just getting too heavy to lift in and out of it. I can't believe how big she has gotten.
Well I am done. eli loves it!
ETA: I do have a rail! Just didn't put it on yet.

She will have a new found freedom! Good luck to you

Oh man...don't give here the freedom...that's where it ALL starts, LOL
Can you strap her in?
Lot's of luck! My firstborn gave up napping as soon as I moved her from the crib...haven't had a moment's peace since!

Good luck! I remember those days! My youngest hasn't slept well since then...I wonder if she's too big for a crib now?

You'll probably need a safety rail so she does not roll off like this one.
My 2 yo granddaughter was taken out of her crib for safety sake - she could climb on the rails and climb out and reach high shelves.
But now, at nap time, they have to take her toy chest out of the room and she still plays. It takes her a long time to actually nap and when my dil goes in there, all the books are out of the bookcase and she pulls things out of her drawers even though they have safety latches and only open an inch!

Such a big girl already!
I've been toying with the idea of changing Dannica's crib around to the toddler bed, but I think I'm going to wait a bit. Our older two were put in their big girl beds on/by their second birthdays because we were needing the crib back. Well, we don't NEED to get Danni out of the crib yet, so I'm just going to leave it go for awhile longer.

Jeesh. When I was a kid, there were no such thing as side rails.
That probably explains a lot, huh?
I say just put a helmet on her at night.
